Next Trade coming soon

Awesome news!  I have an offer for the next trade.  Little Brenden’s grandmother, Barbara Richmond, has made an offer to trade a new hand-made quilt for Brenden’s homemade clay pot!  Barbara is my mother, and I’m flabbergasted she would offer such a large item for the trade. Of course, Brenden’s pot is precious and valuable to her.

My mom owns a quilt shop in Indian River, Michigan called The Quilt House.  They sell fabric and notions to quilters.  They also makes beautiful quilts to hang in the shop as samples of the types of quilts their customers could make.  Mom has offered one of these beautiful quilts for the trade!  She tells me they normally sell for $250-$400!  Soon I will head up to the shop to get a video of Mom and the quilt.

When I started this project, I didn’t immediately involve my family.  As a mid-westerner, we all grow up learning to take care of yourself, don’t ask for help. I’m still a little sheepish about admitting that I haven’t been able to save money for college.  My family has always been supportive, but still I don’t ask for help. So it really warms my heart to see my family participating in my game. They know how badly I want to get my children to college so they gain the tools they will need to support themselves  for the rest of their lives.  My family is the best!

So now I get to go visit my mom and take a video.  When you see the video, you’re going to see she’s cute as a button!
