Trade 2 – A Quilt for a Clay Pot

Finally! The second trade.  You will recall, my mom wanted to trade the clay pot Brenden made for a handmade quilt.  To make the trade I needed to go to Mom’s shop in Indian River, Michigan. That’s 3 hours from me, so I needed to find a day when I could go, visit, and stay over.  Being that I’m a single mother, and I work 50-60 hours every a week, this was tough to find the time.  But weeks later I finally did have a day arranged.

I love going to Mom’s shop because she’s super fun.  When Barbara is in the room, everyone is gauranteed to be laughing and having fun.  So I hung out at the shop, and after it closed we took the video.  I will tell you it took a lot of takes to get where she would stop laughing.  I would start to film and talk. She would listen for a second, then you could see she was trying not to laugh, then she would start shaking silently, and I’d stop and she bust out laughing.  But finally we got the video you see on the website.  I told her Brenden and I did his video in one take.  He was a pro!

It was a lot of fun, and now we had a handmade quilt, valued at $250, ready for the next trade.
